Party (for a Cause) in Miami: Winter Party 2014

Looking for an escape from the cold – or in Atlanta’s case, cool-to-chilly – this winter? One of the hottest parties of the year, the Winter Party Festival in Miami, is within sight, and your chance to buy tickets starts now.

The Winter Party Festival, presented by the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, is a six-day event occurring March 5–10 in Miami. The event is expected to bring in over 10,000 partiers from around the world for a series of events, including nine dance parties with world-class DJs and entertainment. There’s also shopping, art and cocktail receptions, and best of all, the whole event is geared toward raising funds for local and national LGBT equality efforts.

Dance parties are the biggest part of Winter Party, and this year’s parties are bringing in a host of DJs from across the world. The Beach Party will include DJ Danny Verde from Italy and DJ Grind from San Francisco. Elsewhere during the week, the Under One Sun Pool Party includes DJ Gustavo Scorpio from Rio de Janeiro and DJ Seth Cooper from Chicago.

Looking for a hotel? The Shelborne, which has served as host hotel for previous events, returns as host hotel this year, following a $150 million redesign and relaunch as the Shelborne Wyndham Grand South Beach. The revitalized resort takes the Shelborne’s Art Deco glamour and opulence, and merges it with modern day comforts and conveniences.

Festival passes to Winter Party Festival are now available. For more information, or to purchase passes, visit winterparty.com. For host hotel reservations, call 1-866-701-7286 and mention promo code “Winter Party 2014.”
