After scoring a #1 single earlier in 2009 as a featured vocalist on Flo Rida’s “Right Round,” new singer Ke$ha is taking over the world on her own with current single “TiK ToK,” currently resting at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
For those who have heard “TiK ToK,” the other thirteen tracks on Ke$ha’s debut album follow the same format: trashy dance pop meant for partying. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Some of the songs, such as “Blah Blah Blah,” are fun pop songs that serve their purpose well.
Overall, though, this album does little to truly distinguish Ke$ha from a mountain of other disposable pop acts. It’s hard to see the singer making a lengthy career at this point.
